Pioneers of barefoot luxury, Soneva are creators of award-winning luxurious and sustainable resorts in some of the Maldives most breath-taking destinations. Offering desert island hideaways, they are a thriving community that works hand in hand with the environment to craft beautiful, beyond bespoke experiences where discovery is a way of life.
Ultimate Library partnered with Soneva to launch the first-ever pop-up bookshop in the Maldives at Soneva Fushi and then a second location at Soneva Jani. The 'Barefoot Bookshops' offer guests a chance to reconnect to a love of literature through curated collections, personalised ‘shelf discovery’ sessions and literary events with world-renowned authors. Recruited and trained by the Ultimate Library team, the Barefoot Booksellers are on hand to provide tailored recommendations, writing workshops and even run the occasional quiz night.
