We are a small, dynamic team based in London’s Chelsea Design Quarter, and we are seeking a talented Sales Project Manager who shares our passion for books and exceptional customer service to join us. The role involves both business development and client relationship management, with a key focus on growing the business while ensuring the successful delivery of our curated projects. ~ ~Position Overview ~ As a Sales Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business, managing client relationships, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial inquiry to final installation. This role will require a proactive and adaptable individual who thrives in a client-facing environment, is highly organised, and enjoys working across multiple functions of the business. ~ ~ Key Responsibilities ~ Sales & Business Development ~• Proactively develop new business opportunities through outreach (cold calling, emailing, networking events). ~• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market awareness and penetration in key sectors (luxury hospitality, interior design, procurement agencies, property developers). ~• Research new clients (hotels, designers, developers) and track new hotel openings and industry trends. ~• Prepare compelling proposals and negotiate contracts to close deals. ~• Meet and exceed sales targets, demonstrating a proven track record of success. ~• Provide ideas for marketing and social media, supporting campaigns to increase visibility. ~ ~ Client Relationship Management & Project Delivery ~• Manage and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent communication via email, phone, and in-person meetings. ~• Take full ownership of projects from initial inquiry through to installation, ensuring client needs are met and exceeded. ~• Identify upselling opportunities for additional services and products. ~• Problem-solve and think critically to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction. ~• Coordinate with internal teams, ensuring seamless execution of client projects. ~• Assist with international installations when required (both logistics and on-site installation). ~ ~ Data Management & Analysis ~• Maintain and manage CRM systems (HubSpot) to track project pipelines and client details. ~• Update and manage client and project data for efficient follow-ups and business insights. ~• Conduct strategic analysis using CRM data to inform sales campaigns and strategies. ~ ~Ideal Requirements ~ Experience & Skills ~ • 2-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in books, interiors, or hospitality procurement. ~• Proven ability to close deals and meet sales targets with a consultative sales approach. ~• Experience in preparing and presenting proposals and managing client negotiations. ~• Strong organisational, written, and verbal communication skills. ~• Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to cold-call and engage clients in person. ~ Technical Skills ~• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred). ~• Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to enhance productivity, brainstorm ideas and streamline business processes. ~ Additional Attributes ~• Passionate about books and the power they have in creating connections and elevating spaces. ~• Interest in interior design, hospitality, and travel. ~• Self-motivated, proactive, and results oriented. ~• Empathetic communication style with an ability to collaborate effectively across functions. ~ ~What We Offer ~ • Competitive salary and bonus scheme. ~• Hybrid working arrangement, with flexible office days. ~• Opportunity to work with leading luxury hospitality brands globally. ~• Travel opportunities for international installations and building client relationships. ~• Professional development in a growing, dynamic company. ~• Collaborative and passionate team environment. ~ ~How to Apply ~ Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter to books@ultimatelibrary.co.uk explaining your interest in the role and relevant experience.
